Matt Banting Carbon Stealth Medium Fin Set

Description

The Matt Banting Carbon Stealth fin set is a signature thruster (3 fin) set developed in collaboration with Shapers Surf. The fins are constructed using Shapers’ Carbon Stealth Series technology, which combines carbon fiber with a Core-Lite® foam core using Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) technology.

• Construction: The Carbon Stealth construction results in an ultra-lightweight fin with a precision flex pattern. The carbon fiber leading edge and base create stiffness and drive, while the Core-Lite® foam core controls the rate of progressive flex towards the tip.
• Flex Pattern: This dynamic and responsive flex pattern is engineered to “load up” (amass elastic potential energy) during turns and then release that energy (kinetic energy) for maximum acceleration, speed, and drive.
• Template: The fin set features an upright template for quick pivot and tight pocket surfing, allowing for easy transition between turns and quick fin release for aerial maneuvers.
• Performance: Designed for high-performance, critical surfing, these fins perform well in a range of conditions but thrive on fast, flowing waves like point breaks. They are particularly suited to boards with mid to extreme rocker.
• Thruster Set: The set typically includes a slightly smaller center fin compared to the side fins to reduce drag and increase responsiveness and release.
